I've designed this program because I LOVE weights and feel that more females need to be lifting them. I see so many people with the knowledge and know-how of how to improve their health and body but who are not actually implementing it. And lastly my Mum has osteoporosis and this year has highlighted the seriousness of this condition and so I want to provide an opportunity and motivation for more females to feel strong and to side-step this disease. 

Osteoporosis

Is something we don't want to be dealing with in old age but which unfortunately affects many women. Known as a ‘silent disease’ whereby the bone matrix becomes more porous, weakening the bones and increasing risk of breaks and fractures. This is particularly pertinent in the perimenopausal and menopausal years as we start to lose oestrogen's bone protective effects. Adding strength training into your fitness regime is an important way to counteract some of this decline as it forces the bones to become stronger

What's included

This course is less about learning the theory and all about the practical application of doing what needs to be done !

  • 2 x 30 - 40 minute online LIVE strength training sessions each week (Mon and Wed at 7pm) - you can attend the session LIVE or you can perform it at any time before the next session. The session will then be removed from our page and your attendance will be noted on the group accountability sheet to encourage you to find the time and just get it done #noexcuses !

  • A weekly hormone balancing and health promoting nutrition task - you will receive a weekly email with my recommendation for the week and a brief explanation of WHY I’m asking you to do this. The aim is to crowd out the bad and get consistent at including foods that can help smooth out your hormonal ride. The recommendations will be the big hitters - the things that will give you the biggest bang for your buck. They will be easy to follow, easy to implement and won't involve sourcing anything from the Amazon jungle 

  • A group Facebook page for extra support 

  • An easy-to-follow Hormone Balancing Recipe Guide - designed to inspire your food choices and encourage you to be more creative in the kitchen

Please note there is not a specific food plan for this program. The weekly nutrition tasks focus on tweaking your existing diet, crowding out the bad, including foods that promote hormonal balance and encourages food freedom

Course requirements 

  • 1 - 2 dumbbells sets - you can beg, borrow or steal OR  I will advise on where to buy  

  • A mat or comfy carpet 

  • Completion of a pre-exercise questionnaire to assess suitability - we will talk through any health conditions / injuries you have and I may require you to speak to your Doctor to seek advice before starting the program

Do I have to be perimenopausal or menopausal to sign up ?

Not at all - this course can be done at any age. The weekly nutrition recommendations will be BOTH hormone balancing AND health upgrading and so will benefit everyone.

Why trust your body to me?

There are a lot of people out there offering online training so why me and why this 8 week program?

I have been strength training people for 30 years and am oozing with experience and enthusiasm for ALL things strength. Infact I used to train the trainers and taught advanced personal training qualifications for a few years. 

I have a passion for a strong female body and one of my greatest joys is seeing the body transform and the confidence that accompanies that transformation. I believe in feeling fantastic and in optimizing this amazing body of ours. 

I run a 28 day Perimenopause course to help females balance their hormones and so have an excellent grasp of the nutritional know-how and know WHAT works. Being perimenopausal myself I also have first hand experience of how to smooth out that ride.
